There is a range of worksite injuries that can happen. Some injuries may allow the worker to continue working in some capacity, while other injuries have more severe consequences.

  • Permanent total disability

For workers who have a permanently disabling medical condition from a work-related injury, such as the loss of a body part or function

  • Temporary total disability (TTD)

For employees who have an injury that prevents them from working in the same capacity or at all, but are expected to return to work in the future

  • Vocational rehabilitation

Helps injured workers return to the workplace by providing new skills and job search assistance

  • No-fault workers' compensation

Workers are covered regardless of fault, so they don't need to prove another party's fault or risk losing benefits if their own actions contributed to the accident

  • Temporary disability

Replaces lost wages for employees who have a work-related injury, as long as the insurance company agrees the injury is work-related

  • Dependency claim

For family members who can make a claim for the death of a loved one due to a workplace injury

  • Disfigurement awards

For employees who have a disfiguring scar from a work-related injury, even if they didn't lose any function
